Good Vibrations’ GiVe Program Raises More Than $28K For Local Food Banks
Our GiVe Program provides an opportunity for our customers to donate to local organizations we select each quarter. During the winter of 2019, we decided to partner with local food banks in the San Francisco Bay Area and Boston to address food insecurity around the holidays. As the start of 2020 came in, we chose to extend our commitment for another quarter. By the end of March 2020, we were proud to announce that our customers have donated over $28,000!
Thank you, Good Vibes customers! With the current COVID-19 pandemic affecting jobs, household income, and health, these important community resources are even more vital to our community.
The nonprofits which received the funds include the SF Marin Food Bank, Alameda County Food Bank, Second Harvest Santa Cruz, Second Harvest Silicon Valley, and Rosie’s Place, the historic Boston, MA women’s shelter that also hosts a food bank. These organizations have been wonderful to work with and we are so honored to have partnered with them.
GiVe, also known as Good Vibrations Gives Back, uses the engagement of our customer base to drive donations to local nonprofits. We pass 100% of the donated funds to each quarter’s GiVe recipients. “These funds were collected from our amazing customers that stepped up to help their community in need,” explained Andy Duran, Good Vibrations’ Education Director. “We’re so grateful we can serve as a vehicle for community fundraising and want to thank our customers for their continuous generosity.”
Since our stores have been closed these last few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve had to temporarily place our GiVe program on hold.
If you would like to give to these organization directly, you can now do so here on our website. Together we can get through these tough times.
